The Triumph makes maybe 100hp. To say that does what a Suzuki k5 with 150 hp does is a little bit absurd. It’s not even at 750 level. These I4s are wonderful engines.

Along with Triumph brakes, suspension and personality. If you’ve ridden a Triumph you understand.

A centerstand is standard equipment, as we say as much in the fifth paragraph:

“Suzuki will offer a base GX in some markets, but only the GX+ version will be available on our shores. It includes saddlebags and a centerstand as standard equipment.”

I need to commute, I need 215 miles plus of range. Make an “adventure” version with another gallon or so tank, please…. I commute on a tracer and a bmw rt and both can make the 200 mile range, 50 each way with fillup every other day. I’d get rid of one of those if this bike could keep me from gassing up every 3rd trip. Great bike though.

I have a Tiger 1200 GT that I bought solely as a sport touring bike, and a Ninja 1000 SX (and a CBR1000 RR that I do not tour on!).

Two things are inexcusable for a sport touring bike, especially one at this price point. The bolt on windshield basically guarantees I would not buy it. And a 5 gallon tank is a negative but not a total show stopper.

If I were shopping in the same price range I would get a Tiger 900 GT. It does everything this bike does but with far more features standard or as factory accessories. And its price is about the same.

Suzuki seems to be on a roll. Would be cool to see some updated small bore bikes from them too, under 500cc. The gsx8r looks pretty sweet. Would love to see/read a shootout of the Yamaha 7r and the Suzuki 8r. Cheers
